Ever have your internet go out in the middle of a conversation on tumblr and have to try and keep up with commenting through the browser on your phone? That was awkward and not fun. Oh well.

Whether you’re going for Robert Chisholm for NDP leader or not (still think I’m going for Peggy Nash) this site he put up is fantastic.

He’s new to the race (few days) so it may not be popular yet but this should be a party staple even if he’s not the leader.

Bill Nye, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Pamela Gay, and Lawrence Krauss discuss our future in space. Hosted by Phil Plait.

I highly recommend watching this, if for nothing else, Neil is as hilarious as always.

Woo Hoo! Harold Camping’s second try is tomorrow. Back in march he said the raptor was coming, but he was mistaken. He then revised it to Octobre 21 2011. Hopefully he’s right about tomorrow, I’d hate to have a raptor party with no raptor(s).

The USA’s most socialist state critisizes Canada’s Conservatives.

Conservatives in the United States’ toughest crime-fighting jurisdiction — Texas — say about the “Omnibus Crime Bill”

“the Harper government’s crime strategy won’t work”

and Canada will spend,

“billions and billions and billions on locking people up.”

Stephen Harper Conservatives - Too ideological and extreme right wing for Texas.

No such thing as a right wing terrorist.

Well, according to the Canadian Government website link here anyway.

Terrorists are minority rights activists, abortionists, animal rights activists and ecological/environmental extremists.

Ignoring all the others just for berevity’s sake.

Abortionists? Sorry I’ve not heard of any terrorism like,

use of bombs, such as mail and car bombs. Their targets are often research laboratories, clinics and individuals’ property.

You’re thinking ANTI-abortionist, of which there are a shit-ton of those type of terrorists.

The page unfortunately has had a ton of traffic and has either crashed or been taken down till people stop paying attention. Luckily there’s a screen grab right here.

Slowly the Conservatives do their thing. As Stephen Harper called it, “incremental Conservatism, to slowly move Canada to the right.”

(FINTRAC is a government agency whose goal is “to facilitate the detection, prevention and deterrence of money laundering, terrorist activity financing and other threats to the security of Canada.”)

After all this time I still don’t know why the Kardasians are famous.  Is it just the sex tape, what the crap?

The season just started and people are already saying the Capitals will win the Cup.  Nevermind the Washington Capitals have only made it to the second round once since Ovechkin was drafted, you do know Ovechkins face is the international sign for choking right?

Seriously? That’s your response?

The mayor of Huntsville, Ont., says he’ll be careful to avoid leaving an email trail next time he does business with a federal minister.

Claude Doughty was embarrassed when the NDP dug up voluminous email correspondence between him and Tony Clement, now Treasury Board president, about the controversial G8 legacy fund.

He says he considers the emails to be private conversations and he’ll use the telephone in future to avoid leaving a record of such discussions.

Clement used his personal email account, which is not covered by the federal Access to Information Act, to converse with Doughty about the legacy fund. Opposition MPs have accused Clement of deliberately using his personal account to “cover his tracks.”

However, the NDP managed to uncover the email trail by using Ontario’s freedom-of-information legislation to access municipal records.

Dude come on, seriously? You learned the absolute wrong lesson there.

The CBC doesn’t have a political agenda, which means it’s not a Conservative outlet, which means to Conservatives the CBC is AGAINST them and should be treated like everything else “against them”, punished, slandered, defunded till it no longer works, then scrapped.

Conservatives: The Persecution Complex Party - If you’re not with us, how long have you been a Commie and/or in Al Qaeda?

Ontario Votes Leaders Debates on in 30 minutes. It’s available online as well. I do believe this is the CBC link.

The Thor movie really hit a lot of marks for me.  Sci-fi, space travel, superhero, other worlds, anceint mythology (Norse), robots, epic music, beautiful scenery… It really got my imagination running. Maybe not the best movie ever for most people but it was certainly made for me and my imagination.

Off I go to watch it again.

You know how I know Tom Hanks was robbed of an Oscar? Because I’m still sad about Wilson. (I also had to look up the actual winner/movie that year)
